Test Automation

Testing is a critical process in any application development cycle. A fast, repetitive and reliable test cycle at a low cost is vital to stay competitive in today’s market. Test Automation derives its root and prominence from this inevitable need.

Thus there is lot of emphasis on test automation so as to:

  • Reduce the repeated effort (Time & Cost) in testing
  • Reduce the defect leakage and increase accuracy
  • Increase the depth and scope of tests to help improve software quality

HSC’s Test Automation Expertise

  • HSC Engineers have rich experience in building test automation frameworks based on the in-demand technologies like Selenium, Appium, Python and other modern frameworks
  • HSC’s unique ability to build automation tools leveraging available open sources, helps customers to reduce the cost and time to market
  • HSC test architects can also help in evaluating various test automation frameworks to identify the best tool which meets all the customer requirements
  • Over a period of time, HSC has built tools for test automation of Mobile applications, Web applications, Web services  and other test tools. HSC has also built a Test Management and execution framework which has rich set of features and can be easily customized for the customer needs. These tools can be used as Accelerators in quickly creating working prototypes of a test automation framework or to quickly start testing the product releases

HSC’s Test Automation Strategy

HSC has a well-defined approach for test automation. HSC’s test architects work closely with customers to identify the automation needs and perform thorough analysis of all available open source and commercial automation tools which can serve the need. Test architects then prepare the automation strategy, present the study to the customer. The implementation is started once the customer is satisfied and has approved the he chosen test automation strategy.

The implementation approach has been captured in detail in the diagram below.
